Jar Jar Binks Actor Hints at Mystery Activision Star Wars Game

Actor's social media tease hints Activision could be working on an unannounced Star Wars game.

Actor Ahmed Best, known for playing Jar Jar Binks, recently hinted at an unknown Activision-linked Star Wars project in development. While details remain scarce, Best’s social media tease sparked speculation that Activision could be working on an unannounced Star Wars title.

Activision does have some past experience with the beloved sci-fi franchise. The publisher brought several LucasArts Star Wars titles to consoles in the early 2000s, including Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. More recently, Call of Duty has incorporated high-profile pop culture cameos, like Snoop Dogg.

So while an Activision Star Wars game may seem out of left field, the company has demonstrated an ability to collaborate with major entertainment brands. The end of EA’s exclusivity deal with Disney also opens the door for other publishers to explore licenses like Star Wars.

Best’s Instagram post showed him in a motion capture suit, mentioning his roles as Jar Jar Binks and Jedi Kelleran Beq. The telling hashtag was “#Activision,” directly linking the mysterious project to the Call of Duty publisher.

Some fans theorize it could be Star Wars content for Call of Duty itself, similar to character skins. But Best’s mocap gear suggests something more substantial. The tease comes as multiple studios are known to be working on upcoming Star Wars titles.

For now, the nature of Activision’s supposed Star Wars project remains a mystery. But Best’s tease indicates that something is in the works behind the scenes. If Activision is indeed crafting its own Star Wars experience, it would be a major coup for the publisher as it looks to expand its portfolio beyond Call of Duty.
