The Crew Motorfest Revs Up for Steam Launch on April 18th

Ubisoft's Open-World Racer Breaks Epic Games Store Exclusivity After Six Months.

Get ready, racing fans – The Crew Motorfest is about to hit the open roads of Steam next month. Ubisoft has announced that their latest entry in the popular arcade racing franchise will make its debut on Valve’s digital storefront on April 18th, 2024, ending its Epic Games Store exclusivity after a six-month period.

The Crew Motorfest, which initially launched in September 2023 for PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect, invites players to experience the thrill of high-speed motorsports across a stunningly recreated Hawaiian island of O’ahu. With a diverse array of vehicles at their disposal, including cars, boats, and planes, racers can seamlessly transition from land to sea to air in a seamless, action-packed experience.

“We’re thrilled to bring The Crew Motorfest to the Steam community,” said Olivier Palmieri, Game Director at Ubisoft. “With its vibrant open-world, vast vehicle selection, and dynamic seasons system, we believe this game offers an unparalleled racing experience that will captivate both newcomers and long-time fans of the franchise.”

While The Crew Motorfest’s Steam launch comes several months after its initial release, players on Valve’s platform will be able to dive straight into the game’s third season, which kicked off in early March. Additionally, Ubisoft has confirmed that the Year 1 Pass, granting access to a variety of new cars introduced since the game’s launch, will be available for purchase on Steam from day one.

The decision to bring The Crew Motorfest to Steam aligns with Ubisoft’s recent strategy of gradually expanding the availability of their titles beyond the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. Popular games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Division 2, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World have already made the jump to Steam, catering to the platform’s massive user base.

The Crew Motorfest

As The Crew Motorfest prepares to hit the virtual streets of Steam, fans can expect a seamless transition, with the game promising the same high-octane thrills and extensive customization options that have made the franchise a hit among arcade racing enthusiasts.

While pricing details have yet to be revealed, Ubisoft is expected to offer a launch discount to entice Steam users to join the open-world racing extravaganza. With its vibrant world, diverse vehicle lineup, and ongoing content updates, The Crew Motorfest is poised to accelerate to new heights as it expands its reach to Valve’s popular digital distribution platform.
