‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Poster Spotlights Clawed Duo Ahead of Trailer Launch

Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool Pokes Fun at Jackman's Wolverine in Playful Promo Art

Marvel Studios is ramping up the promotion for its highly anticipated summer blockbuster, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” unveiling a new poster that puts the spotlight squarely on the iconic clawed pair. The playful promo art showcases Ryan Reynolds’ wisecracking Deadpool poking Hugh Jackman’s adamantium claws with his finger, setting the stage for the unlikely duo’s explosive team-up.

The poster release comes just ahead of the launch of the film’s second official trailer, slated for April 23rd. It’s been over two months since the record-breaking first trailer debuted during the Super Bowl, racking up an unprecedented 365 million views in its first 24 hours.

While that initial glimpse kept Jackman’s Wolverine largely under wraps, save for a tantalizing final-second tease, the upcoming trailer promises to deliver a more substantial look at the iconic mutant’s return. Reynolds himself stoked anticipation, sharing a cheeky teaser that pays homage to the post-credits scene from “Deadpool 2,” where the Merc with a Mouth implores Wolverine to “get back in the saddle.”

“Look, eventually, you’re going to hang up the claws, and it’s going to make a lot of people very sad,” Deadpool says in the teaser. “But one day, your old pal Wade’s gonna ask you to get back in the saddle again, and when he does, say yes. I’ve always wanted to ride with you, Log. Deadpool… and Wolverine!”

The film’s stellar ensemble also includes returning stars from the previous “Deadpool” and “X-Men” installments, such as Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Newcomers like “Succession” star Matthew Macfadyen, joining as the TVA agent Paradox, are also set to make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts.

With the July 26th theatrical release rapidly approaching, the marketing blitz for “Deadpool & Wolverine” is well underway, promising a wild ride that brings together two of the most iconic and irreverent characters in comic book history.
