Just months after the release of their latest collaboration, the critically acclaimed Killers of the Flower Moon, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are already setting their sights on their next project – a long-gestating biopic about the legendary Frank Sinatra.
According to reports, both Apple TV+ and Sony are vying to secure the rights to Scorsese’s passion project, which would see DiCaprio take on the role of the iconic singer. Furthermore, Jennifer Lawrence is said to be attached to play Sinatra’s second wife, Ava Gardner.
This will mark the seventh time DiCaprio and Scorsese have worked together, following their acclaimed pairings in films like The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street, and their most recent outing. The duo’s synergy and creative chemistry have made them one of the most formidable director-actor duos in modern cinema.
Interestingly, this Sinatra biopic is not a new endeavor for the pair. Scorsese had previously attempted to get the project off the ground over a decade ago, with DiCaprio attached to star.
