Cooperative play is an option too, joining with others to overcome greater challenges. And between expeditions you’ll return to the Atheneum’s welcoming halls, getting to know the curious inhabitants and unraveling mysteries of this strange world.

The Inkbound Universe

You emerge from a sea of ink, a blank slate called the Needless. Strange beings named Bin and Nib find you, imbuing your form with an Aspect – a heroic identity taken from the stories housed in the sprawling Atheneum library. But something is dangerously amiss within this sanctuary of tales.

A corrupting blight known as the Blight seeps through the books’ pages. It warps the worlds within, twisting characters and distorting settings. From this spreading corruption form the Unravelled – monsters seeking to snuff out every story. Each has their own small role to play in unravelling the greater mystery. And out in the wilderness lies the enigmatic Carver, who offers boons to aid your adventures. But who or what started this decay of imagination? What is the true fate of the sealed-away Inkbound? Answers lie in the books, if you can survive what’s written there.

Three worlds initially call out to you – the sprawling ruins of the Proving Ground, the sinister twists of the Derelict Starship, and the lush horrors of the Garden’s Edge.
