“Go! Go! Loser Ranger!” Secures Second Season for 2025

Yostar Pictures' unconventional superhero parody continues to captivate audiences, promising more action and satire in its upcoming installment

Go! Go! Loser Ranger!

Fans of the hit anime series “Go! Go! Loser Ranger!” have reason to celebrate as a second season has been officially confirmed, set to air in 2025. The announcement came immediately following the finale of the show’s highly successful first season, demonstrating the series’ strong popularity and critical acclaim.

Based on the manga by Negi Haruba, creator of “The Quintessential Quintuplets,” “Go! Go! Loser Ranger!” has quickly become one of Hulu’s most-watched anime offerings. The series, which began streaming on April 7, 2024, has garnered attention for its unique premise and satirical take on the “Power Rangers” genre.

The story follows a monster from an alien invasion force who, tired of being defeated week after week for entertainment, decides to infiltrate and destroy the heroic Dragon Rangers from within. This fresh perspective on the superhero narrative, coupled with dark humor and exceptional animation, has helped the show stand out in a crowded field of anime releases.

Yostar Pictures, known for their work on popular series such as “Attack on Titan,” “Demon Slayer,” and “Chainsaw Man,” produced the first season and is expected to return for the second. The production team includes director Keiichi Sato, screenwriter Keichiro Ohchi, character designer Kahoko Kosei, and composer Yoshihiro Ike.

The voice cast features Yusuke Kobayashi as Footsoldier D, Daishi Kajita as Hibiki Sakurama, and Yumika Yano as Yumeko Suzukiri, among other talented performers. Their performances have contributed significantly to the show’s success, bringing depth and humor to the unconventional characters.

A teaser video accompanied the season two announcement, offering fans a glimpse of what’s to come. While specific plot details for the upcoming season remain under wraps, expectations are high given the positive reception of the first season.

The renewal comes as no surprise to industry observers, who have noted the series’ ability to attract a wide audience despite being exclusive to Hulu. Its success is attributed to its clever writing, high-quality animation, and creative visuals that set it apart in the competitive anime landscape.

As “Go! Go! Loser Ranger!” continues to gain popularity, the upcoming season is poised to potentially surpass the success of its predecessor. Fans will have to wait until 2025 to see how the story unfolds, but the anticipation is already building for what promises to be another action-packed and humorously subversive installment in this innovative series.
