Fans of the blockbuster “Barbie” movie will soon have the opportunity to own a piece of Ken’s world, as Mattel Creations prepares to launch a miniature version of the infamous Mojo Dojo Casa House. This collectible playset, part of the Mini Barbie Collection line, is set to make its debut at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in July.

The Mini Mojo Dojo Casa House, inspired by the film’s portrayal of Ken’s transformation of Barbie’s Dreamhouse, will be available for purchase at SDCC from July 25 to July 28. Following the convention, limited quantities will be released on MattelCreations.com, allowing fans unable to attend the event to acquire this unique piece.

Priced at $50, the set includes a miniature Ken figure styled after Ryan Gosling’s portrayal in the film, complete with his iconic “Canadian tuxedo” all-denim outfit and a removable cowboy hat. The playset features various accessories that capture the essence of Ken’s newly embraced masculinity, including black leather furniture, a baseball-mitt chair, a camo-pattern patio umbrella, three stackable mini-fridges, a guitar, telescope, and two containers of protein powder.

PJ Lewis, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Action Figures and Fisher-Price Entertainment at Mattel, expressed enthusiasm for the release. “Through these ‘sublime’ collector sets, fans can continue to live out their Ken and Barbie adventures from the film, inspiring big dreams in mini ways,” Lewis stated. “Mattel Creations is bringing legendary big screen moments to life through these authentic collectibles.”

The Mini Mojo Dojo Casa House is not the only “Barbie” movie-inspired item joining the Mini Barbie Collection. Mattel will also offer a miniature version of Barbie’s Dreamhouse, allowing collectors to recreate both sides of the Barbieland story.

The Mojo Dojo Casa House played a significant role in the film’s plot, representing Ken’s misguided attempt to reshape Barbieland based on his understanding of patriarchy from the real world. The house became a symbol of stereotypical masculinity, complete with saloon-style doors and an abundance of “brewski” beers.

Ryan Gosling, who portrayed Ken in the film, has spoken about the impact of the movie on his own family. During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Gosling revealed that his daughters’ interest in Barbie and disinterest in Ken partly inspired his involvement in the project. He noted that his children even learned the choreography from his Oscar-nominated song “I’m Just Ken.”

As Mattel continues to capitalize on the success of the “Barbie” movie, this miniature playset offers fans a tangible connection to the film’s whimsical world. Whether displayed as a collector’s item or used for imaginative play, the Mini Mojo Dojo Casa House promises to bring a touch of Kenergy to homes around the world.
