The highly anticipated second season of “Oshi no Ko” is gearing up for its July 3, 2024 premiere, and fans have been treated to a tantalizing new trailer that promises to deliver even more drama and intrigue in the world of showbiz. The popular anime, based on the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, captivated audiences with its first season and is now poised to continue its exploration of the entertainment industry’s dark underbelly.

The newly released trailer, shared across the official “Oshi no Ko” social media channels and YouTube, offers a glimpse into the upcoming season’s plot, which will focus on the 2.5D stage play adaptation of “Tokyo Blade.” Viewers can expect to see familiar faces like Akane, Ruby, and Aqua as they navigate the challenges of live theater performance. The trailer also introduces new characters, including members of the Lala Lai Theatrical Company, which is central to the mystery surrounding Aqua’s father and his mother Ai’s death.

Adding to the excitement, the trailer showcases the season’s new ending theme, “Burning,” performed by the popular Japanese rock band Hitsujibungaku. In a special message to fans, the band expressed their enthusiasm for being part of the project, hinting at the emotional depth their song will bring to the series.

The opening theme, titled “Fatal,” will be performed by GEMM, a newly formed duo comprising Kento Nakajima and Tatsuya Kitani. Kitani, known for his work on “Jujutsu Kaisen” season 2 and “Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War” openings, brings his considerable talent to this high-profile anime.
