Madden NFL 25

As the world of sports video games continues to evolve, EA Sports is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with its iconic Madden NFL franchise. With the release of Madden NFL 25, players on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC can expect a slew of groundbreaking gameplay features, ushering in a new era of football simulation. To give fans an early taste of these next-gen enhancements, EA Sports has kicked off a closed beta, inviting players to experience the future of Madden firsthand.

At the heart of Madden NFL 25’s current-gen enhancements lies the revolutionary BOOM Tech, powering the latest iteration of the acclaimed FieldSENSE™ technology. This cutting-edge system promises unprecedented levels of control and realism, from physics-based tackling to dynamic ball carrier mechanics.

One of the standout features is the Physics-Based Tackling system, which considers factors such as timing, momentum, weight, speed, strength, and player ratings to deliver a wider variety of explosive and authentic physical outcomes during one-on-one collisions. The Reloaded Hit Stick mechanic further enhances this experience, offering a timing-based system for more controlled and impactful hits, cut sticks, and trucks.

Meanwhile, the new Ball Carrier Control system promises to revolutionize the way players handle the rock. With the Ball Carrier Balance and Recovery System, players can feel the impact of every hit and experience the thrill of breaking tackles like never before. Absorbing big hits, regaining balance, and continuing the drive become a dynamic and realistic experience, based on the intensity of the collision and the ratings of the players involved.

Beyond the groundbreaking gameplay mechanics, Madden NFL 25 also delivers a heightened level of authenticity across all three phases of the game: offense, defense, and special teams. New team-specific plays from some of the NFL’s most innovative play-callers bring enhanced strategy and gameplay variety, while signature pre- and post-snap animations and skill-mechanics for ball carriers, receivers, and defenders provide players with ultimate control across the field.

The revitalized features and modes are also receiving a fresh coat of paint. The presentation has been overhauled with additional commentary teams, including Mike Tirico & Greg Olsen, and Kate Scott & Brock Huard, as well as new pregame montages, camera angles, environments, Super Bowl celebrations, and immersive audio that captures the true essence of the NFL experience.

Furthermore, the Franchise mode has been recharged with a rebuilt NFL Draft night experience featuring Roger Goodell, a redesigned Franchise Central that delivers dynamic storylines and strategic insights, and more ways to customize teams and seasons. The Ultimate Team™ mode introduces new challenge types, Solo Seasons, and fresh playbook content with every update, while Online H2H brings redesigned leaderboards and a new ranked structure for competitive play.

To give players a hands-on experience with these cutting-edge features, EA Sports has launched a closed beta for Madden NFL 25 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The beta will run across two weekends, with the first taking place from June 14th to June 18th, and the second from June 27th to July 2nd. During these periods, players will have access to various modes, including Play Now, H2H, Practice Mode, Madden Ultimate Team, Superstar, Franchise Mode, and Training Camp.

As the world of sports video games continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible, Madden NFL 25 stands as a testament to EA Sports’ commitment to delivering the most authentic and immersive football experience to date. With the closed beta underway, players can now experience the future of the franchise firsthand, paving the way for a new era of football simulation on next-gen consoles and PC.
