The CBS comedy “Ghosts” is coming back for its fourth season this fall. At a recent Comic-Con event, the people behind the show shared some fun new details.
One big surprise is that Jay will finally be able to see the ghosts! Played by Utkarsh Ambudkar, Jay works at the haunted house but couldn’t see or talk to the ghost residents before. Now things will change up as Jay interacts with the spirits.
Viewers will also meet two guest characters. Mary Holland will play Patience, a stern Puritan ghost from the 1600s who was kicked out of her village for being too much. Her past connects to Isaac, one of the ghosts played by Brandon Scott Jones.
Dean Norris from “Breaking Bad” will guest star too. He plays Sam’s dad Frank, who visits with his new girlfriend. This forces Sam, played by Rebecca Wisocky, to face feelings about her parents’ divorce.
Show creators Joe Port and Joe Wiseman hinted we’ll meet Jay’s family. Rebecca said her character Hetty has learned empathy from her backstory. This will impact how Hetty relates to the other ghosts going forward.
The panelists promised lots more fun in the season ahead. Viewers can look forward to Halloween and Christmas episodes again too. With new faces and storylines, Season 4 seems set to delight existing fans and attract new ones to this quirky comedy with heart. Catch the premiere this October to see what ghosts may come!
