Cast members from the legal drama “Suits” have extended an invitation to their former colleague Meghan Markle to join their new podcast about the hit TV show. Sarah Rafferty and Patrick J. Adams host “Sidebar”, a SiriusXM podcast that takes a closer look at each episode of “Suits”. When asked if Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, would make an appearance, Rafferty said “Everybody’s invited, and everybody has been very supportive.”

The podcast was created as “Suits” gained more popularity on Netflix during recent Hollywood strikes. High viewing numbers led cast members to reflect on what the show meant to those involved. Rafferty said the podcast allows them “to kind of make meaning of what the show has meant to everybody.” However, some admits limited contact with Markle since she left acting and married Prince Harry. Adams said he has “zero communication” with Markle following the streaming revival of “Suits”.

At a reunion for the show at the Golden Globes in January, other cast noted they “don’t have [Meghan’s] number” explaining the lack of direct contact. But an insider said Markle was invited and missed due to a prior commitment. As “Sidebar” attracts more listeners, fans wonder if Markle will reconnect with her old co-stars. By extending an invitation, Rafferty signals that former cast remain open to a possible reunion in the future.
