A newly released image shows Damon dressed in military armor, giving fans a first glimpse of his portrayal of the legendary Greek king. The film is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2026, with production scheduled to begin later this month.

Nolan’s project features an impressive ensemble that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, and Mia Goth, among others. This marks Nolan’s return to a large-scale epic following his recent success with Oppenheimer, which garnered top honors at the Academy Awards.

The film will bring to life Homer’s ancient epic, which recounts Odysseus’ long and challenging voyage back to Ithaca following the Trojan War. Damon’s character must overcome a series of trials posed by gods and mythical creatures, while his family copes with the threat of unruly suitors.
