Alex Cooper, creator and host of the podcast Call Her Daddy, will be featured in a two-part docuseries titled Call Her Alex, set to premiere June 10 on Hulu. The series will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 8, followed by a Q&A session with Cooper and director Ry Russo-Young.

The documentary traces Cooper’s early life in Pennsylvania and her rise as the face of one of the most popular podcasts in recent years. According to the official description, the series follows her path “from a 24-year-old woman with a sex and dating podcast to the CEO of a media empire in just six years.” It also explores more private aspects of her personal and professional development.

“I’ve shared my life with the Daddy Gang since I started Call Her Daddy — but this documentary series takes it even deeper,” Cooper said in a statement. “It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the moments that shaped me — the raw, the messy, the personal stuff I’ve never felt comfortable sharing until now. My hope is that by bringing people along for this part of my journey, they’ll feel both more connected to my life and more empowered in their own.”

Call Her Alex is directed by Russo-Young, known for her work on the HBO docuseries Nuclear Family. She serves as executive producer with Braden Bochner and Christopher Foss. Holly Siegel is credited as producer. The project is produced by Cooper’s company, Unwell Productions. Hulu and Lionsgate negotiated the distribution deal on behalf of Unwell.

Cooper began Call Her Daddy in 2018 under Barstool Sports. In 2021, the podcast moved exclusively to Spotify. In 2024, she signed a multiyear deal with SiriusXM reportedly worth $125 million, placing the podcast among the most highly valued in the industry.

The docuseries follows Cooper’s expansion beyond audio platforms. She also executive produces the Hulu reality show Overboard for Love, which brings together a group of singles aboard a luxury yacht. The show is part of her broader efforts through Unwell to develop and produce original content.

Call Her Alex joins a growing nonfiction lineup at Hulu. Other titles include The Kardashians, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Vanderpump Villa, and the recently announced Love Thy Nader.
