‘Welcome to Wrexham’ Season 4 to Premiere May 15 on FX and Hulu

The docuseries resumes with a ten-episode season, documenting Wrexham AFC’s progress in League One and continued expansion on and off the pitch.

FX has scheduled the return of Welcome to Wrexham for May 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The season will launch with two back-to-back episodes. Hulu will release the episodes the following day. Season 4 will contain ten episodes in total.

The docuseries continues to follow Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds as they manage Wrexham AFC, the third-oldest professional football club in the world. Their ownership began in 2020, when the team was competing in the fifth tier of English football. Since then, Wrexham has earned back-to-back promotions, most recently advancing into League One for the first time in twenty years.

The series tracks the club’s progress through higher levels of competition, increased costs, and the challenges that accompany rising expectations. Injuries have disrupted performance, and fans continue to call for new signings to keep the squad competitive.

The season also features the Wrexham AFC Women’s Team as they compete in the Welsh Adran Premier League. The team is working to secure its place among the strongest sides in the league, with an emphasis on development and consistency.

Executive Director Humphrey Ker, a frequent presence on the show, will be seen training for a marathon across locations in Wales, England, and California. His effort is tied to a fundraising initiative and includes both physical preparation and comedic interactions with players and staff.

Welcome to Wrexham is produced by More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Boardwalk Pictures. Executive producers include McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Humphrey Ker, Nick Frenkel, George Dewey, Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Andy Thomas.
