Lindsay Lohan already conflicted with the law several times in the 2000s. This former teen star struggled with alcohol and drug problems for a long time. She was convicted in 2007 for drunk driving, possession of drugs and driving without a license, amongst other things. By 2010, she apparently had not yet learned from her mistakes: she repeatedly violated the terms of her probation. Initially, she had to wear an ankle bracelet that detected alcohol in her sweat and alerted authorities.

Later she was even sentenced to 90 days in jail. But due to overcrowded prisons and good behavior, they released her after only 13 days. However, Lohan seems to have regained her composure in the meantime. In 2018, she appeared alongside Rupert Grint in the British sitcom “Sick Note.” According to her own statements, she wants to make her acting comeback in Hollywood. We are excited!

In 2009, when Taylor Swift was presented with an MTV Video Music Award for Best Video, Kanye stormed on stage and declared that Beyoncé deserved it more.

He apologized in 2015, but in 2016 the dispute escalated again when West released his song “Fame.” He says, “I think that Taylor and I might still have sex; I made that bitch famous.” Taylor Swift is shocked by this line, though, according to West, she agreed to the release. Then, back in July, Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, published a phone recording between Taylor and Kanye that allegedly proves that Taylor approves of the line. She, though, sees it differently – and the argument continues.

Early in 2019, “Empire” cast member Jussie Smollett stated to police that he was attacked by two hooded men near his Chicago apartment at night. They reportedly called him not only racist but also homophobic names and outed themselves as Trump supporters. However, Jussie received sympathy from the public, revealing that he had staged the whole thing!

Due to the false statements to the police, the serial star was charged in February for disturbing the public peace. However, a conviction did not come since Jussie negotiated a controversial deal with the prosecution. In return, Jussie was suspended from “Empire” and was excluded from the production of the last two episodes of season 5.

Abuse allegations against R. Kelly

Also, singer R. Kelly provided in 2019 again with abuse headlines for a lot of excitement. Due to the docuseries “Surviving R.Kelly”, authorities became interested and made inquiries. In February, R. Kelly was charged with aggravated sexual abuse in several cases, which are said to have occurred between 1998 and 2010.

He said some of his alleged victims were minors at the time of the crimes. In May, July and August, he was charged with additional offenses, among others, for producing child pornography and sexual exploitation. Hence, prosecutors now accuse him of 13 felonies. He denies the charges, though.

“Brangelina” are separated

Their relationship began with a scandal and also ended like that. Two Australian radio presenters had allowed themselves a telephone prank while Kate was in the King Edward Hospital in London due to severe nausea.

That’s when the actress was sentenced to 14 days in jail, served 250 hours of community service and fined $30,000. How so?
