Warner Bros. label representatives has shared a new preview of the adventures of the anti-hero, who will be played by Dwayne Johnson himself. Watch below to see what this comic book character is capable of.

Dwayne Johnson plays the lead role in New Line Cinema’s new adventure film titled Black Adam. The movie is the first-ever big-screen feature film that tells the story of this eponymous hero of DC. Jaume Collet-Serra directed the picture.

Almost 5,000 years after receiving the immense powers of the ancient gods – and almost simultaneous imprisonment – Black Adam (Johnson) gets freed from an earthly tomb. Now he is ready to dispense peculiarly conceived justice to the modern world.

Collet-Serra has directed the film based on a script and idea by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. The screenplay used characters created by DC. The Black Adam character was originally created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck.

Alongside Johnson, the film stars Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, One Night in Miami…. ) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Rush Hour 3) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (Voyagers, Trinkets) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things) as Amon and Pierce Brosnan (the Mamma Mia series! and the James Bond films) as Doctor Fate.

The movie is produced by Beau Flynn, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia, together with Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter, Chris Pan, Eric McLeod, Geoff Johns and Scott Sheldon.

Black Adam arrives in theaters on October 21, 2022. The show will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
