The game breaks Tekken 7 and Mortal Kombat 11 records

MultiVersus is already available as an open beta. For the first hours of free gameplay there was a huge interest in the game from the players and the Warner Bros. production managed to conquer the Steam platform.

As indicated by SteamCharts statistics, more than 144,000 people played MultiVersus on PC simultaneously on July 27. This is over four times as many players as the PC launch of Mortal Kombat 11 and more than seven times the Steam record for Tekken 7.

The game already enjoyed a great result during the closed beta, and has now significantly improved its statistics.

As of the publication of this article, the colorful Warner Bros. fighter is being played by just over 63,000 people simultaneously.

This places the game in eighth place in the SteamCharts ranking and is well ahead of such hits as ARK: Survival Evolved, Rust, Warfarame, Destiny 2 and Dead by Daylight in terms of popularity. More important than the temporary record, of course, will be maintaining player interest.

Recently it was announced that MultiVersus is about to receive more well-known characters. The game will feature Rick, Morty and LeBron James, and there are also allegedly plans to introduce more characters from Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, DC and other well-known worlds.
