Beverly Hills Cop 4 Kicks off on Set: The Producer Reveals the Date for Start of Shooting

While it has been 28 years since Eddie Murphy appeared in the third installment of the popular comedy, and fans may have long given up hope for a sequel, it is nevertheless being produced.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, the producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed that everything is already prepared, and the crew is starting on the set soon:

“Well, we’re making the next Beverly Hills Cop. We start in about a week or 10 days, and the whole thing will be on Netflix.”

There had been rumors of a production for some time; Eddie Murphy himself had hinted that talk of a “foursome” had been around for a dozen years. However, something constantly got in the way of setting off on the set.

Nowadays, it is known that the whole thing will finally be made – and moreover, it even has a chance to premiere next year. Should the crew tackle shooting by the end of 2022, the post-production phase shouldn’t take too much longer.

The Beverly Hills Cop 4 will be directed by Mark Molloy, who has replaced Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah in the position. The details of the project’s plot have not been revealed so far. However, it is known that Eddie Murphy will reappear on screens as Axel Foley.
