EA Sports College Football Won’t Arrive Until 2024

Collegiate soccer is an essential part of the ecosystem that gives life to American soccer in the United States.

As EA wants to take advantage of it in the best way possible, a new college soccer game is in the works, but it’ll be a while before it arrives.

What EA Sports announced is that the long-awaited EA Sports College Football is still on the way. That being said, it’s debut is not close and it won’t arrive until the summer of 2024. So fans have to wait more than a year and a half to get their hands on a new soccer experience.

“That’s the best date for us to launch the game to meet or exceed player expectations and cover everything we want in the game. We want to build a very immersive college soccer experience,” said Daryl Holt, vice president of EA.

But what’s taking so long – isn’t EA Sports College Football going to be Madden NFL but with other teams? Well, the answer is no.

What EA sees this college soccer game as an opportunity to do something unique and this is why they are working on delivering a product that exceeds fans’ expectations.

“We want to make sure it’s clearly unique college soccer. If anyone is concerned that it’s a Madden clone or something else, that’s not our intention and that’s not the way we’re approaching it,” Holt said.

It is important to note that EA has never shared a public release window for EA Sports College Football. Their financial reports, however, did reveal that they were aiming to launch in 2023.

Thus, a lot of fans were hoping to be able to play it next year, which is why this news will feel like a delay.
