This Is How You Unlock Broom Flying in Hogwarts Legacy

Broom Flying in Hogwarts Legacy

Ready to take to the skies? Your first flying lesson awaits at the Bell Tower wing, where the renowned Madame Kogawa will be your instructor. To start your flying adventure, continue playing the main story until you reach the mission “Lesson: Flying.”

For safety reasons, you will start with a school broomstick that will magically appear in your hand. To take off, press [Tab] + [3] (L1 + Circle on the PS controller) and you’ll be soaring in no time.

Control your altitude by pressing [Space] (right stick) to gain height and [Ctrl] (right stick) to descend. You can also descend by holding down [B] (Hold Circle).

Navigating the skies is a breeze with the simple controls – [W] takes you in the direction of the camera, [A] and [D] steer you left and right, and [S] (left stick) helps you slow down. For even more speed, press [Shift] (R2) to accelerate your broomstick, or hold down the left mouse button (L2) to trigger a short speed boost.

Keep an eye on the golden-yellow bar on the screen, which shows you the boost consumption. The best part? When you fly close to the ground, you’ll have an infinite speed boost, as indicated by the special sparkle around the consumption bar. So get ready to soar, it’s time to experience the magic of flight in Hogwarts Legacy!

Challenges and Broom Races for Brave Pilots

Although Quidditch may be off-limits this school year, due to strict orders from Principal Black, there are still plenty of exciting challenges for you to master.

One such challenge is the balloon rows scattered throughout the world. By destroying a row of four or five balloons, you’ll earn valuable experience and progress in challenges, unlocking rewards along the way.

Get ready for some high-flying thrills with the broomstick races! You can compete against your classmates and beat their best times at three different locations in the world.

The racetracks are marked by large rings that you must fly through, but be careful – missing a ring will result in a three-second penalty on your time.

To give yourself an extra boost, keep an eye out for yellow, floating bubbles that will refill your speed boost and send you soaring. The races play an important role in upgrading your broomstick as well, so be sure to make the most of these exciting events.

The race starts can be found at the Quidditch Arena at Hogwarts, north of Irondale on the mountainside, and south-west of Bainsburgh on the beach. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to show your classmates what you’re made of and become the ultimate broomstick racer!

This Is How You Improve Your Broom in Hogwarts Legacy

Are you looking to upgrade your broomstick and take your flying skills to the next level? Look no further than Spintwitches Sporting Goods in Hogsmeade, the premier source for all things broomstick-related. Owned by the enthusiastic Albie Weekes, this small shop is dedicated to helping you get the most out of your flying experience.

To make the most of Albie’s expertise, participate in the flying broom races and report back to him with detailed descriptions of your broomstick’s flight behavior. You can then challenge your closest competitor, Imelda Reyes, and beat her time during a relevant side quest.

When you return to Albie with the good news, he’ll get to work on making improvements to your broomstick and let you know when it’s ready for installation.

You can upgrade your broomstick up to three times, with each upgrade improving its speed, maneuverability, reducing speed boost consumption, and increasing the altitude at which the boost is not consumed.

No matter what type of broomstick you’re using, every broomstick will benefit from these improvements, so don’t hesitate to take your flying experience to new heights!
