The Return of Missing Elements: A Possibility for Fans.

The highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 remake was recently released, and while it has been well-received, some fans have noticed that certain elements from the original game were missing. However, it seems that at least one of these missing elements might return in the form of DLC.

Dataminer Gosetsu discovered references to the Separate Ways scenario in the game files of Resident Evil 4 Remake.

This scenario, which was an alternative view of the events presented in the original game, did not officially exist in the remake. But there are indications that Capcom plans to release an additional campaign in the form of DLC.

According to Gosetsu, a folder called “The Another Order” exists in the game files, located in the same place as the Chainsaw Demo files and the upcoming free DLC for The Mercenaries mode. Interestingly, “The Another Order” is the Japanese title of the Separate Ways script.

Separate Ways was a bonus campaign that was added to each version of the original Resident Evil 4 after the initial release on the Nintendo GameCube console. It was unlocked after completing the main story once.

The campaign followed Ada Wong’s story and provided a different perspective on Leon’s journey, including new mechanics like the ability to use a grappling hook. The story presented in Separate Ways is considered canon.

If Separate Ways does indeed return as a DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake, it will be one more mode that has not been updated.

Another mode is Assignment: Ada, which focuses on a popular agent character and involves collecting virus samples in locations from the original game. While not a full-fledged scenario, it could potentially be updated as well.

Capcom has not officially confirmed the release of any new DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake, but the discovery of these files by dataminers has given fans hope that missing content could still make an appearance in the future.

The addition of Separate Ways or Assignment: Ada would provide even more gameplay and storytelling options for players to enjoy in this highly acclaimed remake.
