Call of Duty 2023: Gearing Up for the Next Installment – Release Date, Demo, and Beta Preview

Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson shares comprehensive details on Activision's promotional and launch strategies for the upcoming Call of Duty installment.

Tom Henderson, a renowned industry insider, recently examined all available reports concerning this year’s Call of Duty installment.

In Insider Gaming, he revealed Activision’s complete plan for promoting and releasing the highly anticipated shooter.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Servers to Receive Updates

While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty Warzone 2 servers will be updated today, fans eagerly anticipating information about the new installment must remain patient.

Henderson believes that Activision will first launch an event for the aforementioned titles from last year to prepare the community for the new game’s reveal.

This approach mirrors the strategy employed in 2022, with the full presentation expected to occur during COD NEXT.

Expected Call of Duty 2023 Reveal in Early August

Call of Duty

The upcoming Call of Duty installment is likely to be unveiled in early August. As a result, fans of the franchise can focus on enjoying Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 gameplay in the meantime.

The current reveal date, August 1st, falls on a Tuesday, making it unlikely for Call of Duty 2023 news to be featured at this year’s PlayStation Showcase, scheduled for later this month.

A Continuation of Modern Warfare 2, With Zombies Mode

Although Henderson does not yet know the game’s final name, he mentions that it will serve as a continuation of Modern Warfare 2. It is worth noting that last year, Jason Schreier reported that Sledgehammer Games was developing such a title.

One significant difference between Call of Duty 2023 and last year’s installment is the inclusion of a Zombies mode from the outset.

In February, Henderson provided an initial timeline for Call of Duty 2023, and he has now confirmed the publisher’s current plans. The game is still slated for a November release, with a beta planned for October.
