Xbox Game Pass Welcomes New Additions: Four Exciting Titles Arriving in May

Microsoft announces a fresh lineup of games joining the Xbox Game Pass subscription service in the first half of May 2023

Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has announced new games for the Xbox Game Pass for May 2023, despite the month having already started. The lineup is relatively modest, with only four games joining the subscription service in the coming days, and a fifth one, Redfall, already included.

The current list covers dates up to May 11, 2023, and Microsoft is expected to unveil more games for the second half of the month later on.

New Games to Enjoy in May 2023

The first new addition to the Xbox Game Pass for May is Redfall, which was released recently. Unfortunately, Arkane’s vampire shooter hasn’t received very positive reviews and is said to suffer from some weaknesses. However, as a Game Pass subscriber, you can still check out the game and see for yourself whether it’s worth your time.

On May 4th, the enchanting action-adventure game Ravenlok makes its appearance. Players assume the role of the titular character, who finds themselves in a mysterious world oppressed by an evil queen. Naturally, it’s your mission to liberate the inhabitants from the cruel ruler’s clutches.

Just four days later, on May 8th, the Definitive Edition of Weird West arrives. Initially released in January 2022, this action RPG with immersive sim elements is now available in a Definitive Edition for the latest console generation. The new edition primarily offers technical enhancements, while the content remains largely unchanged.

Rounding out the first half of May are the Shadowrun Trilogy for PC on May 9th and Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 on May 11th. The trilogy provides engaging tactical RPG gameplay set in a cyberpunk world, while Fuga’s sequel brings turn-based RPG battles with a fantastical twist.

Here’s a quick recap of the new games joining the lineup:

Departing Titles from Xbox Game Pass

As is customary, some games will be leaving the Game Pass roster to make room for the new arrivals. The following titles will be removed from the service on May 15th:

If you want to keep any of the departing games permanently, don’t forget that you can save 20% on the purchase price with your Game Pass subscription while the games are still part of the service.
