Call of Duty’s Charity Mission: Modern Warfare 3 DLC to Benefit Veterans

Activision's Latest Release Aims to Give Back to Those Who Served.

In a move that intertwines gaming with philanthropy, Activision has announced a day-one downloadable content (DLC) pack for “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” that will benefit military veterans.

This initiative is set to coincide with the game’s official release on November 10, just a day before Veterans Day, a federal holiday in the United States dedicated to honoring military veterans.

The “Call of Duty Endowment Warrior Pack” will be available in the in-game store upon the game’s launch. While the full details of the contents are yet to be disclosed, players can expect a suite of items including multiple weapon blueprints, an Operator skin, a vehicle skin, a charm, a calling card, an emblem, and a sticker. Activision has teased the community with silhouettes of these items, building anticipation for what’s to come.

Activision has committed to donating 100% of the net proceeds from this DLC pack to the Call of Duty Endowment, a charity established by the company to assist military veterans in finding civilian jobs after their service. The endowment has been notably successful, having already placed over 125,000 veterans in jobs.

This isn’t the first time Activision has released Endowment store bundles; similar initiatives have been part of numerous Call of Duty titles over the years.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” is a direct sequel to the previous year’s title, continuing the narrative of Task Force 141 in their pursuit of the notorious villain Makarov.

While the game’s campaign has received mixed reviews, with GameSpot awarding it a 5/10, the excitement for the multiplayer and Zombies modes, which go live on the same day as the game’s release, remains high. Additionally, “Call of Duty: Warzone” players can look forward to a new map, Urzikstan, set to be released in Season 1 this December.

This blend of gaming excitement and support for a noble cause is a powerful combination that Activision hopes will resonate with players and contribute significantly to the lives of veterans.
