The gaming world witnessed a monumental moment with the release of the “GTA 6” trailer by Rockstar Games. Surpassing expectations, the trailer has not only captivated millions of viewers worldwide but also set new world records, as acknowledged by Guinness World Records.

Within just 24 hours of its upload to YouTube, the “GTA 6” trailer amassed an astonishing 90,421,491 views, claiming the world record for the “most viewed videogame reveal on YouTube in 24 hours.” This remarkable feat didn’t stop there. The trailer also received 8.9 million likes during the same period, earning it the title of “most liked videogame trailer on YouTube.”

Moreover, it achieved another milestone by becoming the most-viewed YouTube video in a 24-hour period that isn’t related to music. While BTS’s song “Butter” continues to hold the overall record including music videos, “GTA 6” now proudly owns the crown in the non-music category.

Surpassing the Competition

This achievement places the “GTA 6” trailer in a league of its own, far ahead of its closest competitors. The previous record holder, Mr. Beast, had garnered 59.4 million views within 24 hours for his “Every Country On Earth Fights For $250,000” video.

The massive interest in “GTA 6” is partly attributed to the long wait since the release of “GTA V” on the PS3, a decade ago. This anticipation has culminated in one of the biggest events in video gaming history.

A Long Wait with High Expectations

Grand Theft Auto VI

With the PS5 title scheduled for release in 2025, the gaming community is abuzz with speculation and excitement. The record-breaking response to the first trailer sets a high bar for any future releases. The long wait since “GTA V” has evidently built a fervent anticipation among fans, leading to this groundbreaking reception.

The trailer has not just broken records; it has also ignited conversations and excitement within the gaming community. Fans are eagerly sharing their viewing counts, engaging in discussions, and speculating about the game’s content and features. The “GTA 6” trailer has become more than just a video; it’s a cultural phenomenon that has brought together gamers from across the globe.
