Francesca Amewudah-Rivers to Make West End Debut as Juliet in Tom Holland-Led Romeo & Juliet

The Jamie Lloyd Company has announced the full cast for its upcoming West End production of Romeo & Juliet, with newcomer Francesca Amewudah-Rivers set to play Juliet opposite Tom Holland's Romeo.

The highly anticipated West End production of Romeo & Juliet, starring Tom Holland in the titular role, has found its leading lady. The Jamie Lloyd Company today announced that newcomer Francesca Amewudah-Rivers will take on the iconic role of Juliet opposite Holland’s Romeo in the much-awaited revival.

Amewudah-Rivers, a rising star with previous credits in the BBC series Bad Education and various stage productions, will make her West End debut in the classic Shakespearean tragedy. Her casting as Juliet marks a significant breakthrough for the young actress, propelling her into the spotlight alongside one of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading men.

Joining Holland and Amewudah-Rivers in the production are an ensemble of talented actors, including Freema Agyeman (Nurse), Michael Balogun (Friar), Tomiwa Edun (Capulet), Mia Jerome (Montague), Daniel Quinn-Toye (Paris), Ray Sesay (Tybalt), Nima Taleghani (Benvolio), and Joshua-Alexander Williams (Mercutio). Callum Heinrich and Kody Mortimer will take on the roles of Camera Operators.

Holland, who has garnered global recognition for his portrayal of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressed his excitement about the cast, stating, “Beyond excited to announce our cast for Romeo and Juliet.
