Sker Ritual Rises From Early Access for 1.0 Launch on April 18

SKER RITUAL

Brace for intense round-based zombie survival action, as Wales Interactive’s co-op horror shooter Sker Ritual prepares to unleash its highly-anticipated 1.0 release on April 18 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Emerging from early access after over a year, the full launch version will introduce new objectives, weapons, and story content to the Maid of Sker universe spin-off. The 1.0 update overhauls and builds upon the intense gameplay experience first glimpsed during Sker Ritual’s early access debut in October 2022.

Set in the same haunting Welsh folklore-inspired world, Sker Ritual evolves the tense supernatural horror of 2020’s Maid of Sker into an action-packed, round-based co-op survival shooter. Players team up to contend with monstrous threats, dark forces, and seemingly endless waves of bloodthirsty mutants in a desperate fight for survival.

While inspired by classic zombie mode inspirations like Call of Duty’s trademark offering, Sker Ritual combines traditional round-based combat with unique twists. These include customizable player characters, powerful upgradeable abilities, special weaponry, and terrifying boss encounters set across haunting maps drenched in gothic atmosphere.

The game has maintained a “mostly positive” reception on Steam throughout early access. But the 1.0 release aims to elevate the compelling core experience with an array of fresh content, including an engaging narrative campaign diving deeper into Sker Ritual’s dark mysteries.

For those eager to test their mettle, a free demo showcasing the game’s solo experience is currently available across all platforms. However, the full brutal mayhem requires joining forces in online co-op when the complete Sker Ritual 1.0 version emerges next month from its ominous ritual site.
