Vince will be stepping into the role previously portrayed by actors such as Kevin Costner in 2013’s Man of Steel and Glenn Ford in the 1978 Richard Donner-directed Superman. The actor is known for his diverse body of work, including roles in popular TV shows like True Blood, The Walking Dead, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Stranger Things.

Vince joins a star-studded cast that includes David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Wendell Pierce as Daily Planet Editor Perry White, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.

Superman: Legacy

The film, which is currently shooting in Georgia, is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025, as part of the new DC Universe being shaped by Gunn and producer Peter Safran.

Vince’s portrayal of Pa Kent is sure to be a critical element in exploring Superman’s origin story and the formative influence of his adoptive parents. With his extensive experience in both film and television, the actor is poised to bring a fresh and nuanced interpretation to this iconic character.

Fans of the DC Universe and the Man of Steel are eagerly anticipating the release of Gunn’s Superman, which promises to offer a fresh take on the beloved superhero while honoring the character’s rich history.
