Season four will be based on the third Bridgerton book, which is all about Benedict. But like past seasons, the show will put its own spin on things to keep it fresh. We’ll see Ben still not wanting to settle down like his brothers, even though everyone expects him to find a wife. He likes to do his own thing instead of following social rules.
Netflix says Ben will meet a new lady that could change everything. She might be a girl named Sophie from the book. In the novel, Sophie has a rough past and disguises herself at a mask party where she and Ben connect. Their story is full of drama like being apart for years before reuniting.
However, the show takes liberties, so Ben and Sophie’s storyline may be different. Previous seasons didn’t stick completely to the books either. The biggest change was season three focusing on Colin and Penelope instead of following the book order.
