Snapple Promotion Delivers First Full Image of MCU’s Galactus

A tie-in Snapple campaign has unexpectedly given fans their best look yet at Galactus, the towering planet-devourer set to menace the Fantastic Four in Marvel Studios’ upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Promo artwork distributed alongside limited-edition Snapple bottles depicts Ralph Ineson’s Galactus looming over the Baxter Building at full comic-accurate scale—an image fans had only glimpsed in brief trailer shots until now.
Each Snapple flavor corresponds to a member of the Fantastic Four: Snapple Apple for Mister Fantastic, Peach Tea for Invisible Woman, Peach Tea Zero Sugar for the Human Torch, and Kiwi Strawberry for The Thing, integrating Marvel’s First Family into the beverage lineup.

This latest leak follows a string of merchandise-driven revelations, including a Funko Pop! unveiling baby Franklin Richards—confirming the titular team’s on-screen offspring—and a leaked Lego set showcasing Galactus in silhouette.
These piecemeal reveals have fueled speculation that Franklin’s reality-warping powers may play a crucial role in the film’s climax against Galactus and his Silver Surfer herald.

Director Matt Shakman opted to have actor Ralph Ineson physically embody Galactus in a full costume rather than rely solely on motion capture, conducting extensive photo-testing to “make sure that the scale is correct” and asking “How do you film Mount Rushmore?”
Shakman explained he “didn’t want to just use motion capture for Galactus,” emphasizing the creative intent to ground the cosmic threat in practical filmmaking techniques.
Entertainment Weekly notes that Ineson wears purple-and-blue armor inspired by the comics, with the production team tweaking multiple suit iterations to capture the character’s imposing stature.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige shared a clip of Galactus from the Fortnite video game with the cast and crew to illustrate the grandiosity he envisioned for the Devourer of Worlds.
Concept artist Syd Mead’s retro-futuristic designs and Shakman’s “1960s-inspired” aesthetic further shaped the film’s look, drawing inspiration from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey and the optimism of the Space Race.

On social media, reactions range from awe at Galactus’s scale to playful comments on the unlikely partnership between a cosmic villain and a juice brand.
One Redditor quipped, “Brought to you by Snapple! Even an intergalactic devourer of worlds can’t resist,” while others praised the design’s faithfulness to Jack Kirby’s original vision.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps—directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach—is scheduled to premiere on July 25, 2025, marking the beginning of Phase Six in the MCU.
Set in a retro-future 1960s parallel world, the film will introduce the Fantastic Four after they have already mastered their powers, forgoing a traditional origin retelling in favor of exploring family dynamics and cosmic stakes.
