Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th

The Microsoft has taken advantage of the celebration of the Gamescom 2022 to announce more details of the 40th Anniversary Edition of the popular title Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The edition is set to be available from November 11 and will be a free update for all users of the game, whether they bought it or those who have it through Xbox Game Pass.

Some of the most notable new features of the update include the inclusion of helicopters and gliders (which have not appeared in the saga since 2006), and a complete simulation of the Airbus A-310 in which ” almost all the buttons work just as you would expect” on the real aircraft.

More additions to the franchise’s 40th anniversary edition include twelve new aircraft, including some historic ones, 12 heliports, 12 glider airports, 6 commercial airports, and twenty historic franchise missions.

Also, today the first city update, focusing on Germany, is published. You can download it for free from the game market and it includes photogrammetry of Hanover, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Bonn and Cologne.
