At the beginning of this month, Amazon Games studio representatives officially launched the first addition – Brimstone Sands – to the New World game. Meanwhile, the game is being developed regularly by sharing more updates and news.
It appears that the developers are handling all this well, as a lot of players have chosen to give the MMORPG a second chance.
Looking at the statistics on the Steam platform (SteamDB), on sunday, the title had more than 41,000 players playing simultaneously (41,256 to be exact). That is the best result since February of this year.
When you add to this the fact that the number of players since the beginning of September seems to be growing quite steadily and reaches more than 30,000 per day most of the time, you can consider that this is a really solid progression.
It is also worth taking a look at the Reddit forum, where a lot of people are now sharing their opinions after returning to the game.
A user nicknamed kokojumbo1122 posted that he returned to New World after a year and played for eight hours – that was enough for him to make sure that the game is now what he wanted it to be on release day. Such voices are more numerous; it seems that production is back on track.
