Starfield Has up to 500 People Working On It, Ex-developer Shares Details

Putting it all together, Bethesda is currently at work on its most ambitious project yet.

While Starfield was supposed to hit the market next month, it was announced back in May that we might have to wait until next year for the game’s release. Meanwhile, some time ago, reports surfaced online about the various improvements the game was allegedly going to receive.

In the meantime, one of Bethesda’s former workers gave an interview in which he highlighted the huge scale of the said production.

Nate Purkeypile – who worked for Bethesda for 14 years – in an interview with PCGamesN revealed that there are up to 500 people working on Starfield.

This means that we are clearly dealing with the studio’s biggest project, because the team developing the upcoming RPG in science fiction atmosphere far exceeds in size the teams responsible for such titles as The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim or Fallout 4.

According to information provided by Purkeypile, it also seems that the team behind Starfield is more than double the size of the team that developed Fallout 76, as the former Bethesda employee disclosed that up to 200 developers worked on the 2018 production.

We can only hope that the number of people engaged in the development of the game will also translate into its quality.

In conclusion, we should remind you that Starfield is coming to PC and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, and is expected to launch in the first half of 2023. However, we do not know the exact release date at this point.

Meanwhile, it is worth remembering that Bethesda’s new production is also coming to the Xbox and PC Game Pass service on the day of its debut.
