Dead Space must wait: Developers want to make a game with Iron Man now

Good news for superhero fans! Studio EA Motive, the mastermind behind the highly successful Dead Space remake, is now diving headfirst into full-fledged production for an upcoming Iron Man game.

While this may be a disappointment for horror fans eagerly waiting for more from the studio, rest assured that the developers have not forgotten about Dead Space.

Recently, the team made an appearance on Reddit, where they had the chance to connect with players and answer their questions.

When asked about the future plans for the studio, the developers responded that they are still highly invested in continuing work on Dead Space, but many factors need to be taken into consideration at the studio level.

The developers added that they will be taking a well-deserved break before making any decisions on what’s next, stating, “We have a talented team at Motive who has just begun work on Iron Man, and we can assure you that this title is in the best hands possible.”

As for the possibility of a second team working on Dead Space simultaneously, it remains a question mark. Given the size of Motive as a relatively small studio with less than a hundred employees, this scenario seems rather unlikely. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for the studio and their upcoming projects.

As representatives of the company have previously shared, the interest in exploring the potential of the Dead Space franchise runs deep.

Phil Ducharme, Senior Producer, expressed his excitement in collaboration with Roman Campos-Oriola, the creative director, who shares the same level of enthusiasm, as evidenced by his broad smile.

Following a well-deserved vacation, both Phil and Roman plan to delve deeper into the possibilities of this project and come up with a strategy for its future.

The Iron Man game, which is the result of a recent partnership between EA and Marvel, marks the beginning of a new era for the company. Under the watchful eye of Olivier Proulx, who recently oversaw the production of Guardians of the Galaxy at Eidos Montreal, the game is set to be a game-changer.

Patrick Klaus, the head of Motive, stressed the importance of delivering a game that lives up to the expectations of fans and stands out from other Marvel games or action RPGs.

He emphasized that the game must be grand, innovative, and tell a captivating story that would keep players engaged. He acknowledged that the team needs time to experiment and refine their creative vision to ensure a unique and fresh experience for players.
