During the Games Invest Forum 2023, the Polish game development studio Bloober Team announced its strategic plan for the upcoming years, which involves becoming the world leader in horror games.
The team aims to achieve this by expanding through collaboration, deepening immersion in their future projects, and providing greater creative freedom to their team members. The studio’s ambitious goal will be supported by the opening of new branches in Warsaw and Los Angeles.
According to the CEO of Bloober Team, Piotr Babieno, the studio’s games aim to help players face the problems of everyday life by using fear as a tool for catharsis.
They believe that horror games are most needed during times of social unrest, wars, and economic crises, and want to build a company with fundamental values that goes beyond positive financial results.
One of the studio’s most anticipated projects is Silent Hill 2, which has been shrouded in secrecy but has been confirmed to be in development.
The team is also working on several other projects such as Project C, Project G (in the concept phase), and Project H (in planning). Additionally, they have collaborated with Anshar Studios, Draw Distance, and Rogue Games on Layers of Fear, Project M, and Project F, respectively.
To expand their reach, Bloober Team is also planning to release The Medium board game and a series based on The Medium, as well as a Layers of Fear movie.
With their strategic plan, innovative ideas, and commitment to their values, it seems that Bloober Team is well on its way to becoming the leader in the horror game industry.
