Road to Vostok, an upcoming post-apocalyptic FPS, has garnered significant attention from fans and critics alike. To involve the community in the game development process, the one-man development team released a demo version of the game on Steam in September 2022.

Dubbed as the “Finnish STALKER,” the demo showcased the game’s mechanics and allowed players to provide feedback to the developer.

The collaboration with players proved beneficial, as the demo received an update that not only addressed crucial bug fixes but also added an array of new content. The update is described in detail in a comprehensive video shared by the developer.

The Road to Vostok demo version 2 has brought in numerous improvements and exciting features. The winter options and expansion of the village grounds have enhanced the game’s immersive experience.

Additionally, the weapon attachment system, improved weapon recoil and handling, and the inventory and equipment systems have all received significant updates. The demo also includes a clothing/character preview feature, allowing players to customize their characters.

Moreover, the update adds several new weapons and weapon sounds, along with improved ambient/reverberation zones.

Players can now swim and fish in the game, and the addition of ladders makes exploration even more exciting. The update also includes a night vision image, allowing players to navigate through the game’s dark environments with ease.

The extensive update is a testament to the developer’s dedication to providing an immersive and thrilling experience for players.

The second demo of Road to Vostok is set to launch in the third quarter of the year, followed by early access to the game. With the recent update, players can expect an even more exciting and immersive experience in the upcoming demo.
