Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile – Extended Wait Time for Eager Fans

Activision's highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile faces potential delays, pushing its release date further into the future.

Although Activision has yet to announce an official release date for the much-anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, recent updates to the Google Play Store product page have fans questioning the timeline.

Previously, a placeholder release date of May 15, 2023, fueled hopes for a relatively prompt launch. However, this unconfirmed date has now been replaced with a new placeholder: November 1st.

Delays in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Release

The updated placeholder date suggests that fans may have to wait several more months for the mobile shooter’s release.

This new date aligns with the typical fall timeframe when Activision routinely launches new Call of Duty titles. In the meantime, Warzone Mobile will be available for testing in select countries, including Australia, Chile, Norway, and Sweden.

Activision has referred to this pre-release as a “limited work-in-progress version,” aimed at providing the game to a larger player base than the initial closed alpha, thereby allowing for more comprehensive feedback.

The primary goal is to conduct stress tests on matches and game progress, identify and rectify errors, and gather feedback on various game aspects.

Implications of the Placeholder Date Change

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Comes as a Surprise, but Not in All Countries

The recent change in the Google Play Store could be indicative of an internal decision by Activision to postpone the release by several months.

However, it is essential to note that neither the previous nor the updated placeholder dates have been officially confirmed by Activision. Fans eagerly awaiting Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will need to stay tuned for further updates from the game developer.
