FIFA 23 Arrives on EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on May 16

EA Sports' Latest Soccer Game, FIFA 23, Set to Join the EA Play Lineup and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Next Week

FIFA 23

The most recent installment of EA Sports’ popular soccer game, FIFA 23, will be added to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate next week.

Starting May 16, subscribers of EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to enjoy FIFA 23 as part of their subscription, just in time for the soccer season finale.

It is important to note that EA Play is included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC consoles.

The highest tier of Microsoft’s subscription service includes the entire core EA Play catalog. As a result, FIFA 21 will be removed from the service when FIFA 23 becomes available.

FIFA 23 holds special significance, as it is the last game from EA Sports to carry the FIFA name. In the fall, the series will be replaced by EA Sports FC, which will essentially be the same game without the costly FIFA license. Rest assured, however, that the licenses for teams, competitions, leagues, and stadiums will remain intact.

Moreover, EA Sports is working on incorporating more women’s soccer leagues into the game, despite player complaints regarding the subpar representation of some athletes. In certain cases, the facial likeness of players is lacking or non-existent.

Trying Out Xbox Game Pass

For those who have yet to try Xbox Game Pass, there is a 14-day free trial available for the PC catalog. Keep in mind that EA Play games are only accessible through the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

As FIFA 23 makes its way to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on May 16, fans of the franchise can look forward to enjoying the latest installment on their preferred platforms.
