Battlefield 2042

DICE has just confirmed the news which we have been looking forward to for many months. The Battlefield 2042 is coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play, which means there will be a lot of new gamers on the servers.

While Electronic Arts is not giving up on Battlefield 2042, the developers actually have a plan to offer the game to a much wider audience.

Starting in December, the game is scheduled to be available as free-2-play on Xbox (1-4.12), Steam (1-5) and PlayStation (16-23), and very soon the shooter will be dropped into subscriptions.

With the start of Season 3 of the game, the developers confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will be rolled into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Access.

“We’re proud of the work we’ve done over the past 12 months, so if you haven’t jumped into the game yet, starting with Season 3 we’ll be bringing Battlefield 2042 to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and making the game available to EA Access subscribers.”

The studio released an extended video, in which the developers showcased a number of changes – for example, the developers have made new weapons, tackled a full redesign of specialists, polished the modes and tweaked the maps. You will see all the details on the video and Season 3 will be debuting by the end of November.

DICE further confirmed that it is now working on Season 4 of additional content for the shooter as well as future updates.

At present, the company failed to confirm that the game would be getting another year full of news. According to rumors, DICE would like to focus already on the next installment of the series.
