The internal documents also mention “Project 007,” a game announced earlier this year that will delve into the origin story of James Bond.

However, the target platforms and release date for this title are yet to be determined, suggesting that it may be available on both Xbox and Sony consoles. Notably, the game will not be based on any film adaptations but will explore the famous spy’s life in a unique way.

News of Project Dragon first surfaced in 2021, with reports suggesting that the game will be an RPG set in a fantasy world. IO Interactive established a dedicated development team within the studio to bring this ambitious project to life.

According to IO Interactive’s financial report from September last year, both Project Dragon and Project 007 are expected to release no earlier than mid-2025.

Hitman World of Assassination Update: Merging the Trilogy

Earlier this year, IO Interactive made headlines by combining all three installments of the Hitman series into a single game called Hitman World of Assassination.

Through a major update, players gained the opportunity to experience the previous games within the improved engine of the third installment. The update also introduced new graphics options and the highly anticipated “Freelancer” mode.

As more information emerges about Project Dragon, anticipation grows for this intriguing RPG shooter from the talented team at IO Interactive. Fans of the studio’s previous works and RPG enthusiasts alike eagerly await its arrival on Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC platforms in the coming years.
