Welcome, fellow explorers, to a journey of discovery into the hidden gems tucked away in the vast world of The Sims. Behold sights unseen by the average player as we venture into secluded realms brimming with natural splendor, mystical energy, and extraterrestrial wonders.

Leave the well-trodden paths and join me on an adventure to uncover secret places that offer a treasure trove of rare collectibles, fascinating interactions, and captivating views. Places imbued with an aura of mystery, concealing themselves from easy discovery.

Slip through concealed portals into magical dimensions where ethereal beings roam. Traverse misty forests to find peaceful sanctuaries untouched by time. Climb treacherous peaks to breathtaking summits that revel amidst the clouds. The time has come to peel away the ordinary and step into landscapes swirling with adventure.

The secrets await, dear explorer. Adventure calls. Will you answer? The first step is yours to take. Stay tuned for our complete guide on Sims 4’s hidden locations.

Forgotten Grotto

Forgotten Grotto

Tucked away in an unspoiled corner of the world, you’ll find a place teeming with unique natural beauty known as the “Forgotten Grotto.” To discover this secret sanctuary, you’ll first need to locate an old, abandoned mine seemingly lost to time.

This abandoned mine is more than what it seems. It holds a multitude of minerals waiting to be discovered, but its true treasure is the hidden path to the elusive Forgotten Grotto. This is your ultimate destination, and the journey to find it begins in Oasis Springs.

Travel to the heart of Oasis Springs and wander into the desert, where nature’s own road map will guide you. Follow the course of a long-dried riverbed, positioning yourself to the right as you move along the terrain. If your steps are guided correctly, you will find yourself standing before the entrance of an old mine, obstructed by wooden boards. It may seem like a dead end, but do not be discouraged, for this is the secret gate you need to pass.

The wooden barrier blocking the mine entrance is a challenging obstacle, and only a Sim with level 10 of the Handiness skill can dismantle it. For your Sim to acquire this level of expertise, they could rely on cheats or build the skill authentically. How, you may ask? Well, your Sim could immerse themselves in books about Handiness, become an amateur plumber by fixing appliances and the home’s plumbing system, or play the electrician and work on upgrading appliances, plumbing, and electronics. Every action adds to their knowledge and skill.

Once your Sim has achieved the necessary Handiness level, you can instruct them to interact with the abandoned mine. A few minutes of tinkering will open the mine shaft, embarking your Sim on an intriguing journey. They should select options like “Take the Wide Path,” “Climb the Ladder,” and “Step onto the Ledge” in sequence to transport into the Grotto.

Like its sibling Sylvan Glade, the Forgotten Grotto is a treasure trove of rare collectibles. Unique to the Grotto is the elusive Batfish, making it an essential visit for any Angler Sims. Apart from this, the Grotto is an ideal place to dig up more rare collectibles, catch unique frogs and insects, and mine crystals and various other minerals.

It is also home to several plants, including onion and mushroom spawners. While it doesn’t seem possible to build within the Grotto, there is a wooden toilet provided for those Sims that get lost in the excitement of exploring and spend extended time in this hidden gem.

Hermit’s House

Hermit's House

Picture a clandestine sanctuary far removed from the bustling world, a spot that exists in a gentle dance with nature, pulsing with serenity and an air of mystery. This secluded haven is the “Hermit’s House,” an exciting and enigmatic addition brought to life in the Outdoor Retreat Game Pack.

The Hermit’s House isn’t just any location; it lies concealed within the heart of the Granite Falls Forest. To reach this hidden home, players are required to embark on a virtual adventure, navigating their way through a mystical shrub hole. The journey requires a sequence of steps: players should select “Step Forward,” then “Go Through the Web,” proceed to “Ignore the Object,” and finally “Approach the Sim.” By following these instructions, they will find themselves in a magical realm.

Upon entering, players are greeted with an idyllic scene of a densely forested landscape that seems untouched by time, housing the solitary Hermit’s House. A randomly generated NPC, the Hermit, lives here, providing an intriguing interaction for the Sims. If players can foster a robust friendship with this reclusive character, their Sims have the opportunity to learn the highly useful “Fungal Infusion Remedy.”

The surroundings of the Hermit’s House are as compelling as the dwelling itself. Players can explore the area and encounter unique wildlife that is otherwise not found elsewhere. They can spot the majestic mountain lionfish and the captivating will-o-wisp insect, species exclusive to this secretive location. This encounter adds a layer of thrill and allure to the Hermit’s House, making it an exceptional destination in the game.

Sylvan Glade

Sylvan Glade

Step into the world of Sylvan Glade and you’ll find yourself enchanted by the presence of peculiar flora, towering trees, and a one-of-a-kind pond teeming with rare fish. It’s an area steeped in mystery and lush natural beauty.

To embark on this extraordinary journey to the Sylvan Glade, you must first locate a behemoth of a tree, nested in Willow Creek. More specifically, it lies near the second house of Foundry Cove. This colossal tree, towering next to a vivid pink tree, serves as the mystical portal to the Sylvan Glade.

Now, unlocking the secret passage to this concealed wonderland requires certain actions on your part. Start by interacting with the tree and choosing the option to “observe” or “view” multiple times. Keep at it until a new option emerges – “explore.” This action opens up the secret passage leading to the hidden area of Sylvan Glade.

Once you have unlocked the passage, you are almost there. But not quite. As soon as you step through, you will encounter a series of queries. Be careful, because the responses you select here will determine whether you gain access or are catapulted back to where you started. The correct sequence of choices includes: Follow the Sound, Travel Downstream, Enter the Mist, and finally, Travel to Glade.

Mishaps can occur. Selecting the wrong options will lead to your Sim being ejected from the passage. Not just that, they will be left with an uncomfortable or embarrassed moodlet, preventing them from trying again until it wears off. However, choosing the correct options will lead to a loading screen and, voila, your Sim will find themselves in the charming Sylvan Glade.

A hidden gem in the Sylvan Glade is the concealed lot that players can construct upon if they use certain cheats. Although the lot size isn’t massive, it makes for an excellent spot to pitch a tent, install a fridge, set up a shower, and other essential objects that keep your Sims’ needs at bay, thus helping them stay within the Sylvan Glade for longer periods without having to return home.

To unlock this, players will need to open the console (on PC, by pressing Ctrl + C), type ‘testingcheats true,’ and hit Enter. A message will pop up confirming that cheats are now enabled. Following this, players should type ‘bb.enablefreebuild.’ With this cheat enabled, players are free to construct and create as they wish, transforming the Sylvan Glade into their personalized natural sanctuary.

The Deep Woods

The Deep Woods

Dive into the enthralling universe of Sims 4 with its Outdoor Retreat expansion, and you’ll be introduced to the mesmerizing vacation destination known as Granite Falls. With towering trees, expansive landscapes, and nature in its purest form, Granite Falls has a unique allure that encourages Sims to wander and explore its rustic beauty.

As your Sim roams the captivating forest, they may stumble upon a peculiar sight near a cozy cabin – a shrub hole. This seemingly ordinary shrub hole is actually a hidden portal triggering an exciting rabbit hole adventure, offering a journey into the unexplored corners of the world.

By interacting with this shrub hole, your Sim begins their extraordinary journey. The choices they make here matter, and the specific actions that need to be chosen are: “Step Forward,” “Go Through the Web,” “Ignore the Object,” and “Approach the Sim.” If performed in the correct sequence, these steps will guide your Sim into a secluded realm known as “The Deep Woods,” or the “Hermit’s House.”

Nestled amidst the untouched beauty of the Deep Woods, you’ll discover a unique dwelling, home to a solitary NPC – the Hermit. As your Sim forges a bond with this solitary resident, the Hermit will share valuable gardening secrets and even impart a recipe for a high-quality fertilizer – treasures for those with a green thumb!

Beside the Hermit’s dwelling, there’s a captivating waterfall that holds its own secrets. Here, fishing enthusiasts have the rare opportunity to catch the elusive mountain lionfish, a species found only in this specific locale. The abundant flora here is equally unique. Blackberries, exclusive to the Deep Woods, can be gathered and planted back home, adding a touch of the wilderness to your Sim’s garden.

Additionally, the Deep Woods holds a special attraction for bug collectors. It’s the only place where you can encounter certain rare insects like the ethereal will-o-the-wisp, the nimble walking stick, and the mesmerizing dragon dragonfly. This makes the Deep Woods an essential stop for collector Sims. In essence, the Deep Woods offers a whole new world of unique experiences, interactions, and discoveries, making it a true treasure trove for the adventurers at heart.

Peak of Mt. Komorebi

Peak of Mt. Komorebi

The mysterious and captivating Mt. Komorebi is an exclusive area, accessible only to the players who have the Snowy Escape expansion pack installed in their game. When you first visit this locale, you may wonder, “Where exactly is the mountain?!” Well, the answer to that is not straightforward. The summit of Mt. Komorebi is an exhilarating yet perilous place to venture to, and hence, your Sim can reach this majestic height only through a thrilling mountain excursion.

Embarking on a mountain excursion is as exciting as it sounds. Begin your journey by taking your Sim to the soothing onsen bath house nestled in the Yukimatsu district of Mt. Komorebi. From there, use the cell phone to kickstart a social event. From the list of options, select ‘mountain excursion’ and then invite all the Sims you’d like to accompany you on this adventurous journey. The exciting excursion commences at the bath house and requires your Sims to climb the rock wall that lies behind the vast ski slopes.

It’s crucial to pay close attention to the excursion goals during this adventurous journey. Fulfill these objectives successfully to gain access to the next level of the mountain. Your Sims will traverse through a series of hidden areas on the mountain, each offering a unique experience. They’ll start from the Mt. Komorebi Base Camp, proceed through the icy landscape of The Croft Icefall, and finally reach the zenith of their journey – the Mt. Komorebi Peak. This peak, rising high above the clouds, offers the most breathtaking and unforgettable views!

At the peak, there’s a tiny, non-editable lot. However, if you wish to customize this area, simply use the bb.enablefreebuild cheat. This will enable you to shape the area to your liking. But remember, if you wish to revisit this serene spot, you’ll need to embark on another mountain excursion, as it remains concealed on the map even after your initial discovery.

Planet Sixam

Planet Sixam

The Sims 4: Get to Work Expansion Pack opens up an entirely new dimension of gameplay for Sims enthusiasts. With this pack, Sims can actively participate in their career choices, enabling players to control their Sims’ activities throughout their workday.

Three captivating careers are available: the detail-oriented Detective, the life-saving Doctor, and the awe-inspiring Scientist. This expansion pack further enriches the gaming experience with the addition of alien occult Sims and the fascinating Rocket Scientist skill, which any Sim can learn and improve, either as a side interest or a crucial part of their Scientist career.

For players who opt for a career path other than Rocket Science, reaching the intriguing hidden world of Planet Sixam might require some extra effort. However, the wonders that await on this distant planet make the journey entirely worth it.

Those Sims who are forging their way in the Rocket Science branch of the Scientist career have a straightforward path to Planet Sixam. They simply need to attach a Wormhole Generator to their rocket, and they’re good to go. For Scientists in a more general career branch, building their Wormhole becomes a necessity. This process requires an upgrade to their Wormhole Generator with a combination of two unique elements, alongside two uncommon crystals and metals.

After completing these steps, the gateway to Planet Sixam opens up. Sims can step into the rocket or wormhole and set off on a thrilling journey to the beautiful alien world of Sixam. For those venturing to the planet as part of their Scientist job, a warm welcome awaits them in the form of an alien party, thrown in their honor at the local Sixam bar.

Players not tied to work can freely explore the planet’s marvels, collecting rare elements and materials that are unique to Sixam. The planet is rich in rare crystals and metals, alongside a unique six-piece geode collection. These geodes not only add a touch of extraterrestrial charm to the Sim’s home but also enhance its environment.

Gardening enthusiasts have the opportunity to discover a variety of exotic plants on Sixam. The Quill Fruit, Wild Orb, and Fang Flower are some of the unique botanical treasures that can be found here. Interestingly, while the planet is brimming with diverse flora, it lacks any fish species.

After a satisfying exploration of Sixam, players can return their Sims back to their home world using the Wormhole Generator. The expedition to Planet Sixam promises a blend of exploration, discovery, and fun, enriching the Sims 4 gaming experience.

Cave of Sulani

Cave of Sulani

Introduced in 2019, The Sims 4: Island Living pack whisks players away to the enchanting island destination of Sulani. A world steeped in unique culture and rich history, Sulani offers an immersive island lifestyle complete with exciting activities that go hand in hand with the tropical setting. These include sailing in the crystalline waters, engaging in environment clean-up initiatives, and the calming pastime of shell collecting.

While Sulani does not house a fully concealed lot or neighbourhood, it holds its own secret treasure waiting to be discovered. As players allow their Sims to explore the island’s exotic beauty, they may come across a quaint, unassuming cave nestled within the natural landscape.

The cave may seem small, but it packs a punch in terms of what it offers. Players can direct their Sims to interact with the cave, unveiling a bounty of collectible shells. Not just visually captivating, these shells play a crucial role in the transformation of Sims into mythical Mermaids, adding a touch of magic to the island life.

In a surprising twist, the cave can also spawn a remarkable amount of Mermaid Kelp at one time – up to ten pieces. Much like the shells, the Mermaid Kelp is instrumental in the metamorphosis of a Sim into a Mermaid, further deepening the allure of this mystical creature for fans of occult Sims.

Thus, the Cave of Sulani, despite its seeming simplicity, holds the keys to a fascinating world of mythical transformation. This makes it an essential stop for all players eager to add a dash of the extraordinary to their Sims’ island life experience.

The Magic Realm

The Magic Realm

A haven for players equipped with the Realm of Magic game pack, the Magic Realm, arguably one of the game’s more renowned clandestine areas, beckons. Despite being heavily featured in the Realm of Magic promotional trailers, it remains an elusive world, hidden away from the conventional map. Only the curious and adventurous players willing to embark on an exploration within the game can discover this mystical place.

For those unaware of the Magic Realm’s existence, it’s hidden within the picturesque setting of Glimmerbrook. As players guide their Sims along the footpath that lies behind the vacant starter lot in this world, they will find themselves facing a waterfall. It’s here where the real magic begins. Emerging from the water is a mysterious portal, the doorway to the enchanting Magic Realm. However, if your Sim already possesses spellcaster abilities, they can use the Glimmerstone nestled within their inventory or utilize the transportalating capability after mastering the Homewardial spell to reach the Magic Realm.

Once within the Magic Realm, the possibilities are endless, although they’re more enjoyable if your Sim is a spellcaster. For Sims interested in becoming spellcasters, a conversation with any one of the three Sages residing at the Magic HQ is a good starting point on the journey to unlocking spellcaster abilities. With this newfound power, Sims can explore Caster’s Alley to their heart’s content, acquiring potion ingredients, mystical artifacts like wands, brooms, and familiars, and magical spellbooks to augment their knowledge of spells and potions.

They can also challenge other spellcasters to duels at the dueling grounds and brew concoctions in any of the cauldrons at the Magic HQ. The Magic Realm is also home to unique magical plants ripe for harvesting, along with several fishing spots, albeit without any magical varieties of fish.

While the Magic HQ lot comes with a non-editable status, players can use the bb.enablefreebuild cheat to unlock the building potential of the area. Once activated, players can let their creativity soar, building to their heart’s content. However, remember, returning to this magical place necessitates using the portal, a Glimmerstone, or the Homewardial spell, as it continues to remain hidden on the map, even after its initial discovery.
