As the festive season approaches, Sony is set to sprinkle some Christmas cheer among its PlayStation Plus subscribers with a cozy selection of games for December. The company’s latest update brings a trio of diverse and engaging titles to its platform, promising quality entertainment for gaming enthusiasts during the holiday season.

Sony’s December offerings for PS Plus subscribers are a mix of creativity, relaxation, and exploration, featuring Lego 2K Drive, PowerWash Simulator, and Sable. Each game, distinct in its genre, promises to deliver a unique gaming experience.

Lego 2K Drive: The newest addition to the lineup, Lego 2K Drive, released on May 19 across various consoles, is an open-world racing game developed by Visual Concepts.

PlayStation Plus

The game, often compared to the Forza Horizon franchise, allows players to build custom speedsters and race against AI or friends. While the game has faced some criticism for its microtransactions, its core racing and building elements have been well-received.

PowerWash Simulator: Originally launched in 2022 by developer FuturLab, PowerWash Simulator has captured players’ attention with its satisfying and tranquil gameplay. The neat-freak simulator offers a laidback experience complemented by a series of crossover DLCs, keeping the game fresh and engaging.

Sable: The final game in the trio is Sable, an atmospheric and open-world coming-of-age story released in September 2021 by Shedworks. Sable follows the journey of a young girl and her hoverbike, offering a nuanced exploration experience. The game has been lauded for its exceptional design and gameplay, earning numerous awards and high praise from critics and gamers alike.

In addition to these three games, PS Plus’ most premium tier subscribers have access to free trials of other notable titles, including Baldur’s Gate 3 and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. This added perk offers a taste of different gaming worlds, catering to a wide range of preferences.

As we head into December and look to wrap up a year that has felt longer than most, Sony’s PS Plus lineup stands out as an inviting assortment of games. Whether it’s building and racing in Lego 2K Drive, finding zen in PowerWash Simulator, or embarking on a journey in Sable, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and cozy up with during the holiday season.
