In a staggering show of pre-launch hype, the collective power of over 40 million prospective players has unlocked a massive trove of rewards for the upcoming urban fantasy RPG Zenless Zone Zero ahead of its July 2024 release on PS5, PC and mobile devices.
Developer HoYoverse took to social media to celebrate the monumental 40.1 million pre-registration milestone and confirm that all bonus incentives tied to the campaign will be claimable by players at the game’s launch next month.
The stacked pre-reg payload includes the free playable character Corin, 30,000 Dennies (premium in-game currency), 20 precious Master Tapes (used for gacha pulls on the standard banner), and 5 rare Boopon items to collect limited Bangboo materials.
Pre-registration rewards were structured across six milestones, with new loot unlocking at 15 million, 20 million, 25 million, 30 million, 35 million and finally the 40 million cap. The incredible sign-up numbers allowed HoYoverse’s newest open-world action RPG to blast past all stretch goals.
For comparison, the pre-reg campaign for HoYoverse’s well-received sci-fi release Honkai: Star Rail peaked at around 30 million registrations. Zenless Zone Zero’s ability to rally over 10 million more participants showcases the rabid anticipation surrounding its distinctive post-apocalyptic setting and stylized aesthetics.
Those who haven’t already can still pre-register to claim the juicy launch bonuses. HoYoverse has also released a new cinematic short introducing one of the game’s quirky characters to further stoke excitement.
With the pre-registration books closed, all eyes now turn to Zenless Zone Zero’s July 4th premiere, where players can finally dive into the developers’ latest visually dazzling action RPG – supplemented by an extremely generous care package to kick off their adventures.
