Fox is set to refresh its Sunday night animation programming, launching a new schedule that begins February 16, 2025. The network’s popular “Family Guy” will lead the charge, followed by several other animated favorites.
The revamped lineup kicks off with “Family Guy” at 8 p.m. ET/PT, marking the show’s 23rd season premiere. The opening episode offers a unique take on the movie “Top Gun,” featuring main character Peter Griffin stepping into Tom Cruise’s Maverick role. The story follows Peter’s adventures alongside wife Lois as Charlie and son Chris as Rooster, bringing a comedic twist to the classic film’s themes.
Following the success of its holiday episodes in late 2024, “Family Guy” sets the stage for a full evening of animated entertainment. The schedule continues with “Grimsburg” starting its second season at 8:30 p.m., while fan-favorite “The Great North” begins its fifth season at 9 p.m. Creator Dan Harmon’s “Krapopolis” completes the evening at 9:30 p.m., picking up where it left off after its September debut.
In a notable programming move, “The Simpsons” – TV’s longest-running animated series – will join the lineup on March 30 at 8 p.m. The Season 36 premiere, “The Flandshees of Innersimpson,” features a story about Bart exploring the world of celebrity DJs, while his father Homer faces off with neighbor Ned Flanders.
The March schedule adjustment will see “Family Guy” move to 8:30 p.m., with “The Great North” and “Krapopolis” staying in their respective 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. slots. Viewers can catch up on all shows through Hulu after their initial Fox broadcast.
