NBC has surprised television audiences by launching its latest crime drama, “The Hunting Party,” during the NFL divisional playoff game on Sunday, January 19th, ahead of its planned February premiere.
The series follows a specialized investigative team tracking down escaped serial killers from a secret detention center called “The Pit.” Led by actors Melissa Roxburgh and Nick Wechsler, the show explores the dark world of pursuing dangerous fugitives who have broken out of a classified facility.
Joining Roxburgh and Wechsler are supporting cast members Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie, and Sara Garcia. Together, they form an ensemble of investigators dedicated to capturing some of the nation’s most wanted criminals.
The pilot episode, titled “Richard Harris,” received an early preview screening. NBC plans to air an encore presentation on Monday, February 3rd, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, following “The Voice.” New episodes will continue to air weekly in this timeslot.
Streaming fans can catch the series on Peacock, with new episodes available the day after broadcast. This approach allows the network to reach both traditional television viewers and streaming audiences.
