Rick Hoffman will reprise his role as Louis Litt in Suits LA, making an appearance in at least one episode of the NBC spinoff. Additional appearances remain a possibility if the series is renewed for a second season.
Suits LA follows Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has transitioned to representing high-profile clients in Los Angeles. When his firm encounters a major setback, he must take on a role he once avoided. Stephen Amell leads the cast as Black, joined by Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, and Bryan Greenberg.
Hoffman is not the only returning cast member from Suits. Gabriel Macht, who played Harvey Specter, has also been confirmed to appear. Series creator Aaron Korsh explained that the connection between the two shows made the decision an easy one. “Ted was a prosecutor in New York, Harvey was a prosecutor in New York… it seemed like a perfect fit.”
Korsh also addressed the possibility of other Suits alumni returning. “I wanted to make sure it was an organic bringing people in, not just a parade of old characters,” he said. “I would love to have them all on, [but] I don’t want to have them all on one after the other because I think it harms the original and the new show to do that. So we’re just going to see how it goes.”
No other former cast members have been confirmed, though fans continue to speculate about appearances from Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, and Gina Torres.
