Bejoy Nambiar’s latest film Tu Yaa Main brings together Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor in a tense mix of romance and survival. Backed by Aanand L. Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions, the film is set for a theatrical release on Valentine’s Day 2026.
The teaser introduces Adarsh Gourav’s character, a YouTuber setting off on an outdoor adventure near Mumbai. His journey shifts when he meets Kapoor’s character, a celebrity with a larger following. Their interaction hints at flirtation and collaboration until a sudden shift in tone. A crocodile emerges in the water, pulling Adarsh’s character under as Shanaya watches in shock. The footage signals a film built on suspense, survival, and psychological tension.
Director Bejoy Nambiar, known for Shaitan, Wazir, and Taish, describes the project as a thriller that plays with contrasting emotions. “Adarsh and Shanaya’s chemistry and their opposing energies will make Tu Yaa Main a wild ride,” Nambiar said. “It’s a space that allows us to explore complex characters against the backdrop of an unforgiving wilderness.”
The script, written by Abhishek Bandekar, highlights the socio-economic gap between the two leads, a factor that shapes their perspectives. Himanshu Sharma, the film’s producer, has previously worked on the Haseen Dillruba franchise, a series that also balanced thriller elements with personal drama.
Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions has a history of unconventional storytelling, with films like Tumbbad, Newton, and Haseen Dillruba in its catalog. “We wanted actors who could bring emotional complexity and natural intensity to their performances,” Rai said. “Tu Yaa Main builds on unpredictability, pairing two exciting artists in a story that refuses to play by the rules.”
Shanaya Kapoor, making her feature debut, shared the teaser on social media with the caption, “Love. Terror. And a collab gone very, very wrong. Who’s more excited for this one? #TuYaaMain #LikeShareSurvive #Valentines2026.”
The film arrives as Kapoor prepares for another project, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, alongside Vikrant Massey. Meanwhile, Gourav’s recent work includes Superboys of Malegaon and a role in the upcoming series Alien: Earth.
