While Sony has announced the July 2022 PlayStation Plus free games, when will they come out, and when will they be available for download on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5?
The new PlayStation Plus, free games for download, will be available for subscribers (Essentials, Premium, and Extras) beginning late morning on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. They will stay in the catalog up to and including Monday, August 1. They will be replaced by the as-yet-unannounced new PlayStation Plus games for August 2022 starting August 2.
For this month, the Instant Game Collection lineup will include three games for PS4 and PS5: Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time, The Dark Pictures Anthology Man of Medan, and Arcadegeddon.
In July, a new wave of PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra games will also be coming. It is not yet quite clear when they will be announced since Sony has only declared that it will release the new games twice a month, Xbox Game Pass style.
However, not providing exact dates but talking generically about mid-month: “mid-month will see an additional update with new games for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe plans.”
