Resident Evil 2 Remake Sold Over 10 Million Copies

Capcom will continue building remakes of its other games

Resident-Evil-2-Remake

Released in early 2019, the remake of the legendary second installment of the Resident Evil horror franchise was met with excellent reception from critics and gamers alike.

The advanced gameplay and perfect visuals, in combination with the chills that the stomp of Mr. X’s steel-toed boots was able to inspire, and resulted in a very entertaining remake.

Unfortunately, the third installment’s remake a year later didn’t quite manage to build on its qualities.

Now, the developers at Capcom have taken to social media to boast that the remake of Resident Evil 2 is selling exceedingly well. The game has in fact surpassed the ten million units sold mark, a great achievement when considering that survival horror games do not top the charts in terms of popularity.

Currently, Capcom is working on a story expansion for last year’s Resident Evil Village and, obviously, a remake of Resident Evil 4. One can only hope that it will do as well as the second game.
