Taking-Two, and therefore the parent company of Rockstar Games, has made bold statements about the emerging GTA 6.
According to the head of the corporation, the newest installment of the gangster series will set new standards for the entire gaming segment.
In the latest financial report, Taking-Two mentions once again that work on “the next Grand Theft Auto” (the name GTA 6 is not mentioned) are “in advanced condition.” Far more interesting, though, is the statement’s continuation.
“The development of the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series is at an advanced stage, and the team at Rockstar Games is determined to once again set a creative benchmark for the series, for our industry and for entertainment as a whole, just as it has done with each of its major productions.” – Asserts Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick.
Although Rockstar Games is indeed known for its very high quality and fine-tuning of the smallest details, it is hard not to resist the impression that this is just “marketing talk,” possibly intended to cool the mood after the storm that erupted following the news that a woman would be one of the main characters in GTA 6.
